Our CBD Salve is free of this compound. This health product only uses natural hemp grown in Oregon area and Colorado area. The facilities they came from are all licensed under the Colorado and Oregon Department of Agriculture’s Industrial Hemp Program. 

CBD Living does everything it can to make sure that none of its CBD topicals and salves contain psychoactive compounds and/or effects. To ensure this, all CBD is tested thrice (at the farm, extraction facility, and at CBD Living itself).

The CBD salve starts out in state-licensed farms in Oregon and Colorado. They are grown and tested in the same area. CBD Living doesn't accept full spectrum CBD, only broad-spectrum CBD with no psychoactive compounds are accepted.

Once fully-grown, they are extracted and tested once again (all of this is still going on in the same facility).

The CBD is then shipped to CBD Living's headquarters over at Corona, Calif. before being sent off to have the CBD tested again, this time. Once sure that they contain no psychoactive compounds, they are sent back to CBD Living.

Only then will the CBD be processed and manufactured into the organic CBD salve along with the rest of the ingredients.

The three kinds of cannabidiol (CBD) are isolate, broad, and full-spectrum CBD. This CBD Living brand product in particular uses broad-spectrum CBD. Broad-spectrum CBD products are similar to full-spectrum products in that they contain other organic compounds from the cannabis plant.

The main difference is the amount of tetrahydrocannabinol  (THC); a member of the cannabinoids. Cannabinoids are the name for the natural compounds found in the Cannabis sativa. CBD is another one of these compounds. THC, however, is a psychoactive compound so less (or none) of it in a product is generally considered to be best.

Isolate CBD is purely just the compound itself. It doesn't contain THC but it doesn't contain any of the other potentially helpful compounds in cannabis either. This is the only type not to have full-spectrum potency and so it's not the best type to put in a salve or ointment.

A full-spectrum CBD salve contains less than 0.3% THC, while a CBD ointment with broad-spectrum hemp CBD will contain no THC most of the time (there can be traces of it sometimes). Our CBD Salve product with its potent broad-spectrum CBD doesn't contain this compound so rest assured, you're getting the best relief, with none of THC's negative effects.
